Katie Tahuahua is a Senior Fellow for Life:Powered, a national initiative of the Texas Public Policy Foundation to raise America’s energy IQ.

A native Texan, Katie has a lifelong passion for the power of the written word to educate, inspire, and persuade. Her communications, digital marketing, and public policy background includes service in the administrations of Governors Rick Perry and Greg Abbott, the Texas House of Representatives, and a congressional campaign. Her writing has appeared in national publications including Fox News, the Washington Examiner, and The Federalist.

Katie lives in Central Texas with her husband, son, and two rescue dogs.

Speaking of dogs, since you were probably wondering, it rhymes with Chihuahua.
